Backstory

Being born and raised in a large, sub-urban town to a family built from old money, and being the sole daughter of a business tycoon father and a defence attorney mother, Aurora's early life was far from mundane. The town they lived inhabited was just shy of being big enough to be called a city, but still remaining small enough that it could be self sustaining if needed, and as the case usually went, everyone knew everyone, and that was especially true for Aurora's family, being the at the pinnacle of wealth and prestige for generations. They owned or had shares in the majority of businesses populating the town, and could easily have been said to be the rulers of the domain, so it would not be a stretch to have Aurora be groomed in such a way that she saw herself as a princess being prepared to take the throneβ a role she adapted to with almost surprising ease.
She developed a vain and arrogant persona from a young age, an effect of her parents' example of seeing themselves higher than the rest of the town, which carried on into her adolescent years. Those traits weren't without merit, however, as Aurora possessed a brilliant mind, and excelled at most of her classes, and even taking on the position of cheer captain from her sophomore high school days, but her true passions laid with the artistic pursuits. Drawing and painting, music, dance... things she would indulge herself in whenever she had a free moment, leaning more towards the former academically as well. Of course, her parents took notice of this, and despite initial reservations about having Aurora go down the path of an artist, they relented after she promised to still develop the skills she needed to take the helm of the family once her time came.
After high school, she got accepted to the leading art institute in the country without her parents' connections or interventions on a full scholarship, so paying her tuition and boarding fees wasn't a problem, as long as she maintained high grades throughout her tenure, but her father added a stipulation that she would have to rely on her own efforts if she wanted spending money as a way of challenging her, to see if she truly had what it took to make it in the real world. At first, she worked as a waitress for a restaurant a short walk from her campus, and it paid alright, but after joining a sorority and seeing how most of the girls were living like queens, she asked her roommate for advice, and that was the conversation that set her on her current course.
Aurora's roommate was a senior on her way to graduation, and quickly became one of her closest friends, thanks to a similar personality, which lead to Aurora discovering that the majority of the girls in her sorority supplemented they got from working a 'regular' part time job with sex work - stripping, escorting or becoming cam girls - Her roommate, being one of the latter, taught Aurora the ropes and how the industry worked after she showed interest, seeing it as just another form of self expression, and soon enough, she started joining her roommate and a few other girls in an escort business before striking out on her own, slowly working to build up a reputation that would get her to the heights she wanted to reach, all under an alias, of course. Vivienne, a woman who could shape dreams into reality, no matter how depraved they were.
Balancing that with her waitress job as well as her classes proved difficult at first, but Aurora managed to find a routine that worked for her. She was an escort, and she enjoyed it, but it was just for fun, and she graduated university with honours, going on to establish an prestigious career as an artist after a few years of building up her portfolio and having the right connections. Now in her late 20s, she also teaches art at various colleges and universities whenever she isn't attending galleries or painting.
She continued her nighttime profession as well, enjoying the power and thrill that life as an escort gave her, while keeping the lives separate. Aurora Steele was an heiress and a well respected artist whose paintings and drawings would bring crowds whenever displayed, but Vivienne was an entirely different woman, and she liked it that way. People could always connect the dots, but that was part of the entertainment of it all.
